SUMMARY:Kebnekaise North summit & Tolpagorni
DESCRIPTION:[vc_section el_id=”Översikt”][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]The ultimate adventure for Kebnekaise! An expedition where we climb two iconic mountains: Kebnekaise & Tolpagorni. There is exciting climbing\, exposed ridges\, glacier and a fun Via Ferrata. Our goal is to climb both Sydtoppen & Nordtoppen on Kebnekaise together with an IFMGA guide. \nNordtoppen is now Sweden’s highest point at 2097 m since the glacier on Sydtoppen melted over the years. To get there you need to walk in a rope team over a narrow ridge. It is tickling and magical at the same time and you have to stay focused at every step. We do the Eastern Trail with Via Ferrata up to Sydtoppen and from there we continue to Nordtoppen. \nBut the adventure doesn’t end there – after a morning of sleep we try rock climbing on Kaipak and prepare ourselves for the next challenge: the crater ridge on Tolpagorni! It is perhaps Sweden’s most iconic mountain and the climb is exposed but never too difficult or technical. A real wow experience! \nSince we have an IFMGA guide for two days\, we also have the opportunity to choose the peak day on Kebnekaise depending on which day the weather is best – a luxury you often don’t get on other expeditions. \nThis trip is suitable for those with good fitness and balance. It is not for the extremely afraid of heights. For beginners\, our course in mountain hiking & climbing Kebnekaise is better suited![/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”featured-image”]

SUMMARY:Ski touring course for beginners in Vemdalen 2026
DESCRIPTION:[vc_section el_id=”Översikt”][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””] \nJoin us for a ski touring course in Vemdalen. This course is designed for beginners who have never tried ski touring before\, or who may have done a tour on their own but want to learn more and start being able to head out independently in the future. We won’t be doing any advanced skiing – if you’re comfortable on blue and red slopes\, this course will be a great fit! No previous off-piste experience is needed either. This is a beginner-friendly course where the focus is on helping you feel more confident and learning the basics. We’ll move uphill at a relaxed pace\, with the goal of enjoying the tours. If you’re looking for something more extreme\, this might not be the right course for you. \nYou’ll also learn how to plan your own tours and gain basic avalanche knowledge\, including companion rescue. \n[/vc_column_text]\n	\n \n\n\n \n	\n\n[vc_column_text css=””]Date: March 13–15\, 2026 (3 days)Number of participants: Minimum 4 / Maximum 7Location: VemdalenPrice: 4500 SEK[/vc_column_text]\n \n Book here\n Book here\n \n \n \n \n	[/vc_column][/vc_row][/vc_section][vc_section el_id=”Innehall”][vc_row][vc_column]Content[vc_column_text css=””] \nBeing able to head out on skis into nature is absolutely fantastic – a true feeling of freedom. Date & link will be sent out a couple of weeks in advance. \nDay 1We meet in Vemdalen and start the day with coffee & an introduction before heading out into the mountains. Here you’ll learn how the equipment works\, techniques for ascending and descending\, and we’ll take plenty of time for questions. The goal of the day is for you to feel confident with your equipment and know how it functions. We’ll also practice avalanche rescue. The day includes a tour in the local area. \nDay 2We begin the day with about an hour of theory focused on tour planning. After that\, we head out for a longer tour. Along the way we’ll look at route choices both uphill and downhill\, as well as terrain\, and discuss in the group why we make the choices we do. The goal is for participants to understand how to structure a tour\, both in the planning phase and out in the terrain. \nDay 3Today we go on a beautiful tour that the participants help plan. Which summit we choose will depend on the weather and conditions – a surprise\, in other words! Participants will also help with route choices and setting the track. The goal is that after today you should feel confident to head out on an easier tour on your own. Date & link will be sent a couple of weeks before the trip. \nDay 1We meet in Tänndalen and start the day with coffee & an introduction before heading out to the mountains\, where you will learn how the equipment works\, techniques for ascending and skiing down. There will be plenty of time for questions. The goal of the day is for you to feel confident with your equipment and understand how it works. We will also practice avalanche search. We will do a tour in the nearby area. \nDay 2We begin the day with a few hours of theory focusing on tour planning. Then we head out on a longer tour. We look at route choices both uphill and downhill\, and the terrain along the way\, discussing as a group why we make the choices we do. The goal is for participants to understand how to plan a tour\, both in preparation and out in the terrain. \nDay 3Today we do a nice tour that participants get to help plan. Which peak we go to will be decided based on weather and conditions — a surprise! Participants also help with route choices and breaking trail during the tour. The goal is that by the end of the day\, you feel confident going on a simple tour on your own. We wrap up the day around 3:00–4:00 PM\, just in time to travel home the same evening. \nPlease note that the program may be adjusted due to weather conditions. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][/vc_section][vc_row section_type=”fullwidth”][vc_column]\n	\n \n\n\n \n	\n\n[/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_section el_id=”Forkunskaper”][vc_row][vc_column]Prerequisites[vc_column_text css=””] \nYou don’t need any previous experience in ski touring or off-piste skiing. A chance to ask questions and meet all participants online a few weeks before the trip. A link will be sent well in advance. \n\nDay 1 \nYou arrive in Arusha and check in at your hotel. In the evening\, we’ll have a welcome meeting and an optional group dinner at a local restaurant for those who wish. There is also an opportunity for last-minute purchases during the day. Now the adventure begins! \n🏨 Accommodation: Hotel\, shared double room with breakfast \n\nDay 2 \nThe day begins with meeting your guide in Arusha or Moshi before heading to Londorosi Gate. After completing the necessary registration formalities at Lemosho National Park gate\, we begin our hike along a beautiful and easy trail through lush rainforest. \nAlong the way\, we enjoy a lunch break in a forest clearing before continuing uphill to our first camp\, Lemosho Forest Camp (2\,650 m). This area is rich in wildlife\, and if we’re lucky\, we may spot buffalo and other animals. For our safety\, we are accompanied by an armed park ranger. \n⏳ Hiking time: 2–3 hours🏕️ Camp: Lemosho Forest Camp \n\nDay 3 \nWe soon leave the forest behind and enter the moorland\, where the gnarled trees create a magical atmosphere. The trail steadily climbs and rewards us with sweeping views as we approach the edge of the Shira Plateau. Here\, a true sense of wilderness sets in\, especially as afternoon mist slowly drifts across the landscape. \nAlong the way\, we may summit Shira Cathedral\, an impressive rock formation with dramatic spires. We then continue to Shira Cave (3\,720 m)\, our next camp. This campsite offers some of Kilimanjaro’s most spectacular views – the glacier-covered Kibo Peak dominates the horizon\, framed by the jagged edges of the Shira Plateau. To top it off\, Mount Meru looms above the clouds\, creating a sight we will never forget. \n⏳ Hiking time: 6–8 hours🏕️ Camp: Shira Camp \n\nDay 4 \nAfter a good night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast\, we continue to Shira 2 Camp (3\,840 m). The trail takes us further across the plateau\, opening up spectacular views of Kilimanjaro’s majestic peaks. \nThe terrain becomes more open and rocky\, leaving behind denser vegetation. Along the way\, we may spot evidence of the volcanic activity that shaped this region\, a fascinating experience in this unique highland landscape. \nShira 2 Camp lies in a wide valley with stunning views of the Kibo massif. Here\, we start to feel the effects of altitude\, so we take it slow and let our bodies adjust. In the evening\, we can enjoy the sunset behind Mount Meru – a magical end to the day. \n⏳ Hiking time: ~3 hours🏕️ Camp: Shira 2 Camp \n\nDay 5 \nWe start the morning with a gradual ascent\, leaving the moorland behind and entering a more dramatic landscape of lava ridges and rocky slopes. With every step\, the panoramic views open up – behind us stretches the Shira Plateau as we approach the impressive glaciers of the Western Breach. \nThe day’s high point is Lava Tower (4\,500 m)\, where we pause for lunch. This area is often called “Shark’s Tooth” due to its sharp\, rugged profile. Here\, we get an important opportunity to acclimatize before beginning our descent. \nAfter lunch\, we descend steeply to the spectacular Great Barranco Valley (3\,950 m)\, a lush oasis surrounded by dramatic cliffs. Here\, unique high-altitude plants like giant lobelias and senecios flourish. Our camp is in a sheltered valley with wide views of the plains below and the Barranco Wall looming above – tomorrow’s first challenge. \n⏳ Hiking time: 5–7 hours🏕️ Camp: Barranco Camp \n\nDay 6 \nThe day begins with an exciting and steep climb up the famous Barranco Wall – one of Kilimanjaro’s most memorable sections. Although it looks imposing\, it is non-technical\, and we climb at a steady pace using hands and feet on some sections. Reaching the top rewards us with spectacular views of Kibo and the glistening Southern Icefields. \nFrom there\, we follow a rolling trail along Kilimanjaro’s southeast flank through a rugged but magnificent landscape\, sometimes spotting iconic giant lobelias standing like guardians. \nWe enjoy a well-earned lunch at Karanga\, the last water point before the summit push. Here\, we rest and take in the surroundings before the short hike to our camp for the night – Karanga Camp (3\,995 m). \n⏳ Hiking time: 3–5 hours🏕️ Camp: Karanga Camp \n\nDay 7 \nWe leave Karanga behind and begin our ascent to Barafu Camp. The terrain changes dramatically to a barren and rocky landscape where only the hardiest plants survive. The trail steepens\, and loose gravel requires steady footing and focus. \nBy midday\, we reach Barafu Camp (4\,667 m)\, a windswept location with breathtaking views of Mawenzi and the plains below. We then continue a bit further to Kosovo Camp (4\,850 m)\, a higher and more secluded camp. Staying here shortens the summit night by about an hour\, giving us a strategic advantage for the upcoming challenge. \nThe rest of the day is spent resting and preparing for summit night. We check equipment\, refuel with an early dinner\, and try to get a few hours of sleep before the final push to Uhuru Peak. From Kosovo Camp\, we often enjoy spectacular views of Kilimanjaro and the starlit sky above. \n⏳ Hiking time: 3–5 hours🏕️ Camp: Kosovo Camp (4\,850 m) \n\nDay 8 \nSummit night – Africa’s highest point! \nAt midnight\, we rise\, dress warmly\, and gather our energy for the big challenge. Using headlamps as our only light\, we start the slow\, methodical ascent. The trail zigzags steeply up loose volcanic ash\, progressing in steady rhythm. \nAfter about 5–6 hours\, we reach Stella Point (5\,735 m) just in time for sunrise. A short pause allows us to admire the magical moment as the sun paints the sky pink and orange over Mawenzi’s dramatic silhouette. \nFor those still with energy\, the final challenge awaits – a roughly two-hour round trip along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak (5\,896 m)\, Africa’s highest point! On the way\, we pass near spectacular glaciers and ice formations still adorning the summit. Standing on “the Roof of Africa” is an indescribable feeling – a reward for all the hours of hard work and determination. \nAfter celebrating and taking photos\, we descend quickly but safely back to Kosovo Camp. A short break allows for recovery before continuing down to Millennium Camp (3\,950 m) for our last night on the mountain. Surrounded by greenery and with oxygen returning to our lungs\, we reflect on the day’s incredible experiences. \n⏳ Hiking time: 11–15 hours🏔️ Highest point: Uhuru Peak (5\,896 m)🏕️ Last camp: Millennium Camp (3\,950 m) \n\nDay 9 \nAfter a night of well-deserved rest at Millennium Camp\, we tackle the final stage of the expedition. We leave the rugged highland behind and descend through lush rainforest. The trail winds through dense greenery\, and the fresh air and bird songs make the descent a pleasant experience. \nAfter about 4–6 hours of hiking\, we reach Mweka Gate (1\,650 m)\, where we officially conclude our Kilimanjaro adventure. Transfer vehicles take us back to Arusha to celebrate our achievement\, enjoy a shower\, good food\, and perhaps a refreshing drink. \n\nDay 10 \nDeparture day.
