This is the Topo Travel version – taking the more scenic route, winding through misty valleys, rolling green ridges, and wild, open landscapes.

Between the mountains, we drive through gentle landscapes, make spontaneous stops by stone bridges, and enjoy the freedom of being on the move.
This is a journey for those who love adventure, nature, and the simple joy of moving under their own power.

Content
Over eight days, we’ll cross three countries – Wales, England and Scotland – and hike to their highest peaks: Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis.
Our journey takes us through some of the most iconic landscapes in the British Isles – from rolling green moors to misty mountains and rugged ridgelines. Along the way, we’ll experience the contrasts between quiet valleys and sweeping views, paired with authentic British culture: small villages, cosy pubs and afternoon tea after a long day on the trail.
We travel in a small group led by a Swedish IML-certified guide, following lesser-known routes and taking the time to truly experience the journey – not rush through it.
This is Topo Travel’s interpretation of The Three Peaks: an adventure filled with energy, presence and the feeling of discovering something genuine.

Before the trip
A few weeks before departure, we’ll hold an online meeting where we go through the packing list, trip planning and answer all your questions.
Day 1 – Arrival in Manchester & into the Welsh wilderness
Our adventure begins in Manchester, where we meet and head west towards Snowdonia National Park – a landscape shaped by sea, mist and ancient rock.
In the village of Llanrwst, with its stone cottages and cosy pubs, we check in and prepare for the journey ahead. In the evening, we gather for a welcome dinner and an introduction to the week.
Accommodation: Llanrwst
Day 2 – Snowdon (1,085 m) – climbing the wild east face
Instead of taking the tourist trail, we follow a more adventurous and less-travelled route to the summit of Wales’ highest mountain. The path winds through dramatic valleys and up the windswept ridge to the top of Yr Wyddfa, as the mountain is called in Welsh.
At the summit, we’re rewarded with panoramic views over all of Snowdonia and the Welsh coast.
Distance: approx. 12 km
Ascent: +900 m
Duration: 6–7 hours
Accommodation: Llanrwst
Day 3 – Dolomite-like cliffs & travel to the Lake District
We start the morning with a shorter hike among Snowdonia’s lush valleys and rock formations – a chance to unwind after yesterday’s summit. Then we drive north along winding roads towards the Lake District National Park, where mountains meet mirror-like lakes.
Evening in the charming town of Kendal, with a British pub dinner and relaxed atmosphere.
Hike: approx. 8 km, +400 m, 3 hours
Accommodation: Kendal
Day 4 – Scafell Pike (978 m) – via the secret route from Wasdale
England’s highest peak awaits! We avoid the most crowded path and instead take the Wasdale route – a quieter, more scenic trail that passes waterfalls, boulders and grazing sheep.
At the summit – often wrapped in clouds – the view stretches across the entire Lake District. A magical sense of calm and power.
Distance: approx. 10 km
Ascent: +950 m
Duration: 5–6 hours
Accommodation: Kendal
Day 5 – Morning walk & journey to the Scottish Highlands
A gentle morning walk in the rolling hills of the Lake District before we cross the border into Scotland. The road north is an experience in itself – green moors, old stone walls and views that grow wilder with every mile.
We arrive in Fort William, gateway to Ben Nevis, and enjoy dinner with a view of the mountain.
Hike: approx. 6 km, +300 m, 2–3 hours
Accommodation: Fort William
Day 6 – Ben Nevis (1,345 m) – the roof of Scotland via the mountain ridge
Today we take on the highest peak in Great Britain. We choose the scenic route via the Carn Mòr Dearg Arête – a beautiful ridge that offers a true Highland feeling without being technically difficult.
The sense of standing on the summit, with all of Scotland beneath your feet, is unforgettable. In the evening, we celebrate with dinner and a dram of whisky at a local pub.
Distance: approx. 14 km
Ascent: +1,350 m
Duration: 7–8 hours
Accommodation: Fort William
Day 7 – Wild hiking & journey towards Glasgow
We round off the week with a relaxing hike in the Scottish Highlands, letting our legs recover as we enjoy the peace of the mountains and lochs.
After lunch, we drive south to Glasgow, where we end the trip with a farewell dinner and a toast to three unforgettable peaks.
Hike: approx. 10 km, +400 m, 4 hours
Accommodation: Glasgow
Day 8 – Departure
After breakfast, we travel back to Manchester for flights home – filled with memories, energy, and the spirit of the British mountains.
Please note: The itinerary may be adjusted based on weather and conditions.
